Attention: Orange County PTA and the Los Angeles PTA

The Eco-Adventure program was created to enhance science education through the use of digital media and discussion while at the same time offering schools the chance to raise money for those special projects. We bring the "field trip experience to the school." Since 2005, Rio Films has been entertaining and educating students K-8 with our award-winning film "Sea Lions-An Unforgettable Encounter" while engaging young learners in an exciting discussion about the Channel Islands ecosystem off southern California. The program thus far has been a tremendous success! It's not just watching a movie....it's an adventure and exploration!

Perhaps no area of endeavor better exemplifies humanity's quest for knowledge- or more vividly shows how we use knowledge in attempting to improve life on our planet- than the subject of science. Every day, everywhere in the world, science's central place in our lives is demonstrated in countless ways. From a child's point of view, science is important because it is the source of many thrilling discoveries. Many adults today attest to the fact that science first awakened their love of learning and prompted their enthusiasm to learn more.

sealion6Rio Films would come to your school and set-up a premier of "Sea Lions" followed by a presentation and Q&A by the film's director Alan De Herrera. The discussion would be about sea lions and their Channel Islands environment.

Rio Films can premier our current film "Sea Lions" followed by a Q&A/presentation by the director Alan De Herrera to a ticketed audience at your school as a fundraising event. There is no charge for this type of event and the tickets revenue is split. Rio Films would also donate 20% of the proceeds from merchandise sales (DVDs, Coloring Books, Stuffed Animals, etc.) back to the school. This in effect creates a very cost efficient way of raising money while putting the "Fun" back in fundraising! We can also set-up a flat up-front fee which wouldn't require a split in ticket sales if your school prefers.
